International calls from India becomes much cheaper

BSNL is going to introduce new STD/ISD Calling Cards under the brand name - CallNow

The BSNL deal is if you buy 1000 rupees calling card then call to US will take 3.25 rupees per minute where as if you buy 2000 rupees calling card then it is 1.75 rupees per minute.

Reliance has global calling card (Reliance Global Call Card Edge)
The Reliance deal is if you buy 1000 rupees calling card then call to US will take 3.25 rupees per minute where as if you buy 2000 rupees calling card then it is 1.99 rupees per minute.

Bottom line if you buy high denomination calling card then call price per minute will be a slick deal.

Advantages of using calling cards from India is NO dependence on internet alternatives like Skype or VOIP phones.
