What India thinks of Obama's win ?
Amartya Sen, a nobel Prize–winning economist from India speaks to Time magazine on Obama's election victory. This is his words to quote -
Sen further writes that Obama needs to reassess his campaign policies on balanced trade.
He won his presidency not as a black American but as a reasoning American who happens to be black.
Attacking Iraq for an imagined link with 9/11 was daft. Having unaffordable health care is not a reasonable way to run a rich society. Destroying the environment is not smart. Spreading the wealth a bit in a deeply unequal society is not as offensive to reason as it appeared to Joe the non certified Plumber.

H1-B visas - McCain ranks better than Obama on policies
Wired did analysis on hot election issues where Barack Obama and John McCain say, and what have they done, about some of hot policies in US 2008 elections.
H1-B visas policy McCain is graded B+ when Obama got a C. The issue is the small number of H1-B quotas (65,000) making it difficult for US companies to hire skilled workers from outside of US.
Here is how two candidates fared on this issue -
McCain - He is in favor to expand the number of H1-B visas and he want to retain the top notch foreign skilled workers graduated in US schools.
Obama - Only a temporary increase and he is critical of highly skilled immigrants taking away American jobs. Only a stopgap measure until the industry requirements are met.

Dice poll taken by 2006 members voted Barack Obama whopping 63% saying that they believe Obama will pay more attention to IT pros. John McCain came in 2nd and Ralph Nader in 3rd position.
