Income tax checklist & File your income tax return by April 15
IRS waiting for taxes - Credit : GOODMagazine.com
Here is checklist of documents required to file taxes:
Proof of the income:
This includes W2s which are proof of income made through employers, interest from checking/savings accounts, dividends from stock investments, income made through self-employment like say Google Adsense or some other advertising revenues, and any other income. In my case I have my partial MBA Student tuition payments and other types of loans may also be considered income for the purposes of income tax, as can winnings from a lottery, casino, or other contest. It is always good to contact your tax adviser to know what qualifies as income for tax purposes
social Security Numbers:
You should have handy all social security numbers for everyone you will claim on your income tax return. That includes social security numbers for your spouse and any children you will claim. Without social security numbers, proof of residence, and birth dates, you cannot claim deductions on your income tax return for these individuals.
Deductions:
I have a mortgage, and interest paid to the mortgage company is tax deductible. If you use a vehicle or computers for business purposes, you can claim a tax deduction for mileage/usage.You can also claim tax deductions for charitable contributions.
Self-Employed:
Gather all your receipts for tax deductible expenses. A tax deductible business expense is any expense that is used solely or primarily for the business you are involved in. The tax deductible expense must be documented in order to claim it, so any receipts you have, usage logs for computers and vehicles, etc. should be gathered so that you can take the highest deduction possible.
Tax Forms:
An individual with few tax deductible items can file simple tax return. However, if you are self-employed you must also file a tax form called Schedule C.For lot of tax deductible items, you will want to file a more complex tax return to itemize your tax deductions.
Start gathering all of your required tax documents as early as possible, and be organized.
I like this video from "GOODMagazine" showing how our tax money is spent.

House Swapping -- homeowners get creative as sinking demand for the houses continue
How does house swapping work?
Sub prime mortgage crisis made many houses face foreclosures. Almost all big banks wrote down billions and billions of dollars absorbing all the losses of sub prime crisis. Economists warn that more danger is yet to come in fall of this year as many ARM mortgages are up for renewal and financing conditions put forth by lenders are becoming stingier day after day. Selling a house in this kind of market requires creativity. The last trend that impressed me was article about woman raffling off her home to avoid facing foreclosure.

Thirties age makes one think and feel bad for the past as well as the future
This below post is a master piece and a must read for all age groups, if you are in thirties then you know what you have missed all along and at least start the repair work OR worst case start "thinking" of what is been missed.
Many of twenty misses are big coincident s for me barring a few ones that I did not sell my car to a friend's friend or bought a utterly useless used car.
Reducing the debt that we have accumulated because of tuition costs or some unnecessary impulse online buys have been on my top list these days. Personal finance is where I've started taking a serious note -- probably call it a thirties financial insecurity syndrome.
Well time to repair and move forward :)

E-Trade Superbowl 2008 baby ads -- Quite entertaining with brand rebuilding
I think E-Trade did respond back very strongly with their Superbowl ads to build the brand image again. They chose babies ad theme sending in clear message that it easy to work with online E-Trade account.
I some how feel their stock will go up for few days with this effect and is a good bet for day traders.
I liked 1st ad more than the second one.

Will Gold prices cross $1000 in February ?
In 2001 when gold price was $280 and it was a trend those days to buy 4 or 5 of these gold biscuits to take them to India. I now regret that I missed almost 4 times (400%) of returns. Currently gold price is hovering around $930 (per ounce price) and is still below the inflation adjusted (the money that was worth in 1980 say $800 if adjusted to inflation would be somewhere equivalent NOW to $2000) all time 1980 peak price of gold which was $2000 plus.If we irrationally go by this statistic then there is chance for gold price to cross $1000 and $2000 very soon. Of course that depends lot on other factors like deteriorating economic conditions. When economic conditions are bad people tend to lose confidence on currency and flock to heavenly gold investments. If you see historic prices gold did drop from its peak of 1980 $847 to $250 in 1999. The downside of investing in gold is risk of drastic price drop.Gold bugs (referred to people who is bullish on Gold and they advocate heavily to spur up the demand of gold) don't agree with the cons of gold investing citing rising oil prices and the unwillingness of China to significantly de-couple the value of its own currency from the US dollar.
Why I think price of gold will cross $1000 in February ? Valentines day . Demand for gold is historically high in the month of Feb as either increase in valentines gold gifts or proposals of marriage with rings on valentines day.For years the jewelry industry has done their best to provide shoppers with an all in one opportunity to select gifts for the special people in their life.It seems as though regardless of the individual or their personality there is something for them in the vast network of jewelry shops.
Buying the same gifts year after year can get monotonous, however, and jewelry stores have to constantly fight to stay on top of the market. They are consistently coming up with popular new products created out of gold to attract in the needy consumer.
To sum up, I predict gold prices will hit $1000 unless there is total economic turn over from recession to expansion.

Tax rebate/refund checks - $600 for individuals and $1,200 for couples ?
Update : May'9'2008 - Direct deposits are made by US Treasury and you may see it soon in your bank accounts like the one below.
This is $600 + $600 + $300 (Child) = $1500, The amount may vary depending on dependents and the income level.
If you didn't receive the tax refund yet then your last two SSN digits condition may not have met, check your payment schedule from IRS -
Previous update : President Bush signed the stimulus package on Feb'13'2008. Earlier both House and the Senate passed the economic stimulus bill. This means we can expect refund checks in May'2008.
---------
Original post :
Soon we can see some fat checks in our mail. Top on my list is to pay off some high interest credit card balance.
Strong evidence is emerging that consumer spending, a factor in determining recession is in a visible distance as energy prices surged and the housing market sputtered, has begun to show its ugly shocks at every level of the American economy, from the working class to the wealthy. Slowness in US consumer spending is effecting US GDP.
GDP is made up of these components : (Simplifying)
GDP = consumption + investment + government spending
Recession has many definitions as one says continuous six months of declining GDP pushes economy into recession.
The Bush administration is calling for temporary tax relief worth about $140 billion or more, reportedly in the form of tax-rebate checks of up to up to $600 for individuals and $1,200 for couples. These rebates may not be available to all and would be available to those below a certain income cap, likely $75,000 adjusted gross income for individuals and $150,000 for families.
This refunds are supposedly be sent in June if everything goes okay and relief is accepted by the house.
The idea behind these ‘Economic Stimulus’ plans is to get money into the hands of consumers who will spend it quickly, thereby revving up demand and "stimulating" the economy back to good health.
On the investment component of GDP, Fed is trying to cut interest rates drastically (75 basis points on last Tuesday) making it possible for ailing banks to borrow money at lower rates.
These two news 1) Economic stimulus package and 2) Fed cutting interest rates is giving temporary relief to Stock market as witnessed this week.
We gotta see if these measures are short term or fix the economy some what long term.

Buy foreclosure homes for good real estate investment
Image via WikipediaWe all look for deals or bargains before we invest either in stocks or real estate and Sometimes (or mostly) price (property buying price) may become a decision factor in real estate investing. If the price is the factor then buying foreclosure homes is an excellent choice. In order to turn your real estate investing into profit then you may consider foreclosure properties which are often sold far below their real property value as these foreclosure homes has fallen into disrepair.Foreclosures -- The act of foreclosing, especially a legal proceeding by which a mortgage is foreclosed. These are the properties that lenders take back if the owners were unable to make the payments that they committed when signing up a mortgage. Probably the owners are in financial troubles and the houses may have been vacant for long times especially when real estate is a buyer's market. We can normally expect the foreclosure houses to be in some kind of financial or other disrepairs. The advantage for foreclosure home buyers is that lenders want to recoup their investment by taking out the house from the market as early as possible and lenders are willing to take a price cut for this reason.
Let's dig into more to learn - why any property goes into foreclosure property? Oh well there are so many reasons but the one that stand out for all of these reasons is money. Heard about subprime interest rates that lenders gave ridiculous loan amounts during the real estate boom? Home owners are now struggling to pay high interest rates for the loans and altogether giving up the hands or the home would not be in the state of foreclosure. Secondary issues for old constructed houses with constant unseen maintenance costs like leaking roofs, spoiled carpeting, or some plumbing maintenance are another reason that makes home owners default on loan payments.
Also sometimes the owners may vandalize the property as they have nothing to lose as they know that any way their home will be foreclosed. As a foreclosed home buyer these repairs may not be that expensive but somewhat bothersome. This comes as golden bargain point when negotiating home with the seller (or lender) during the home closing.
The investors can buy larger homes in good school districts than they would ordinarily be able to afford. Also an excellent addition to the real estate investment portfolio.
The question at hand - How do you buy foreclosure properties? Seen all those annoying ads that you need to buy a list to find about all foreclosed homes in your area. The road less taken these days as realtors can help you match the right foreclosed home for your needs. Also remember when you are the buyer you pay nothing to realtor as realtor gets commission from the seller. GO with the expert realtors as they will be able to negotiate good bargain prices for your investment.
Foreclosurenet -- An excelent listing state by state foreclosures.
Foreclosurelistingsnationwide -- Another listing with foreclosure prices.

Intuit buys Homestead Technologies - Is Intuit stock now worth investing?
Also remember that in past Intel Corp has invested an undisclosed amount in Homestead Technologies Inc.
As consumers increasingly shop online, creating a Web presence is one of the most important factors for small businesses.Just for today's Cyber Monday 2007 it is expected that the business is around whopping $770 million dollars.Since 1996, more than 12 million businesses have used Home Stead's award-winning products and services to establish their presence on the Web, maintain and promote their site, and sell or market their products and services—all without mastering programming or design.has been the recipient of numerous awards including: CNET "Editor's Choice;" PC magazine "Editor's Choice;" PC World "Best of the Web;" and Forbes "Best of the Web.I feel Homestead is in the right business at the right time which made Intuit buy this company.
A bit of Intuit news :
Intuit said the buy will enable it to offer Web-site creation and e-commerce solutions that help small businesses acquire and serve customers through the Internet. Intuit makes the popular personal finance programs Quicken and TurboTax (and its Canadian counterpart, QuickTax - TurboTax became an Intuit product via the 1993 acquisition of its creator, the California-based company Chipsoft), as well as the small business accounting program QuickBooks. Intuit has been ranked in Fortune Magazine's "Top 100 companies to work for" for the past several years.
Google announced a strategic alliance with Intuit in the year 2007 designed to help millions of small businesses promote themselves online using a variety of popular Google services built into most QuickBooks 2007 products. The alliance combines Intuit's deep knowledge and experience solving small business problems with Google's expertise and reach on the Web to help small businesses address their number one objective – attracting new customers. For the first time, small businesses can use QuickBooks to market themselves online by listing their businesses on Google Maps?, creating and managing advertising campaigns with Google AdWords? and posting their products for sale on Google through Google Base? – a free product listing service.
Conclusion:
Intuit stock over a 5 year time sloped downwards starting with $50 and is currently now at $19 (Nov'26'2007).It might not be a coincidence that Intuit revealed this acquisition on one of the most busiest online shopping Cyber Monday 2007 day. Small businesses is the key to this acquisition and I feel this may be good short term investment promise from Intuit.

Vioxx settlement -- Is it right time to start investing in Merck's stock
Merck's Vioxx settlements are far less compared to asbestos or tobacco law suits.Merck made its money from initial launch of Vioxx but discovering the trials result of heightened risk of diseases they were able to quickly remove Vioxx from pharmacies. This prevented extended damage. If you see their stock growth it is consistent over last two years.
What other investments does Merck is into these day ? It has been quietly building a cancer franchise since it bought gene-chip maker Rosetta InPharmatics several years ago for $600 million.Recently it announced a $1billion investment in cancer pill which will be jointly developed with Ariad Pharmaceuticals.
This settlement news comes at a good point and may be a best time for stock investors to grab some of the Merk stocks that are currently priced at $57.33 (Nov'9).

ONGC stock - worth investing ?
ONGC owns and operates more than 15000 kilometers of pipelines in India, including nearly 3800 kilometers of sub-sea pipelines. ONGC is engaged in exploration and production activities.Since 1959 it has made its presence noted in most parts of India and In oversea territories. In 2006 list of Fortune Global 500 companies it stood at position 402 and moved up 33 positions to rank at 369 by 2007.ONGC Videsh, (OVL), the subsidiary of ONGC, has already struck oil and gas at four regions outside India. ONGC has major oil and gas fields on the western offshore which are active for the past 30 years. ONGC also has three new exploration blocks in Columbia recently awarded to the group's overseas arm, ONGC Videsh Ltd. ONGC Videsh (OVL),the international arm of ONGC is learnt to have initiated a dialogue with state petroleum companies of Syria and Venezuela to get participation in oil and gas blocks in exchange of In-Situ Combustion Technology.ONGC has 46 per cent stake in Kakinada Refinery and Petrochemical Ltd, the special purpose vehicle that is building the 15 million tonne refinery.
Future investing plans of ONGC: ONGC plans to invest over USD 5 billion to produce 25 million standard cubic meters per day (mmscmd) of gas from its eastern offshore Krishna Godavari fields by 2013.
Company that promises so much is worth to monitor its stock.Once all brokerage tools (I use TDAmeritrade for US stocks) for investing in India is in place then this is one stock I would definetly add to my overseas stock portfolio.

Rental property investing tips resources
Rental Properties : Type of real estate investment Property that ordinarily gains value over time unlike many other real estate investments that may rise and fall quickly and without warning. The problem with any investing property is that far too few people can actually afford to hold and maintain multiple properties over an extended and indefinite period of time while waiting for the value to rise. Many property investors manage to overcome this by renting the properties to tenants during the time when the property values are rising. This allows the tenants to essentially cover the note on the property and makes the venture a little less risky though there are risks involved when dealing with tenants (such as property damage, failure to pay the rent, and possible legal woes-the good tenants generally outweigh the bad).
Some facts about renters in the United States: (Source : MSNBC)
NUMBERS: About 32 percent of U.S. householders are renters, rather than homeowners; they occupy about 35 million rental units.
COSTS:
In San Francisco, a full-time worker needs to earn nearly $30 an hour
to afford a modest two-bedroom apartment without spending more than 30
percent of income. In West Virginia, the same "housing wage" is about
$10 an hour.SHORTAGE: The
National Low Income Housing Coalition says there are 9 million
extremely low- income renter households and only 6.2 million units they
can afford at 30 percent of income or less.PROPOSAL:
A bill pending in Congress would establish a National Affordable
Housing Trust Fund to build or rehabilitate 1.5 million low-income
housing units over 10 years.
When is the excellent time for investors to buy rental properties?
As the housing market beginning to cool and interest rates on the rise, this may be an excellent time for investors to buy rental properties. Stats shows that during the peak of home ownership in 2004, more than 3 out of every 10 Americans still rented the houses in which they lived. In the last week of July 2006, the Mortgage Bankers Association reported that applications for home loans had reached a four-year low. These figures indicate that more people are being forced to rent until market factors adjust to make home ownership more feasible.
When is the bad time to invest in rental properties?
With home buyers having more difficulty financing their dream homes, it appears as if the rental market will continue to strengthen for some time, at least until a market correction brings down home prices, which have been spiraling significantly over the past few years. As more and more people begin to look at renting as an option while they wait for that correction, savvy investors may be able to experience increased profits by adding more rentals
to their inventory.
Harvard University study identified a number of demographic forces that are combining to strengthen the rental housing market, especially echo boomers and second-generation Americans. The fact that investors are having to pay higher interest rates to buy rental properties has also translated into increased rents over the past few years.
Tips for rental property investors:
It makes sense to seek expert advice
before committing your money.
- Research the area & market you are planning to buy. Real estate rental agents will be able to advise you on rental levels and demand.
- Prepare a budget and stick to it. First thing you want enough rent to cover your mortgage/loan costs. Also in the budget you need to include service charges (for flats), repairs and
running costs.
- Demand-Supply issues - If looking at areas where there is a lot of new developments make sure that supply of property does not outweigh demand.
- When taking on new tenants remember to take at least one plus month of rent in advance. That way if the tenant cancels
their standing order a month in advance of leaving then you have still
got money in case of damages.
- Choose your tenants carefully. Meet them in their own home if possible when
completing the rental agreement. If their home is in good condition
then hopefully they will treat your property the same way.
- Provide new tenants with a detailed inventory. As well as including
furnishings remember to state whether carpets have been cleaned or the
decoration updated. The more detail you supply will result in less
disputes with tenants.
-Consider the neighborhood and remember that you may well be called
there in the middle of the night, to tend to some tenant's emergency.
- Keep enough cash at hand. Expect routine cash outlays. Rental properties aren't all about money
coming in. You'll probably need to paint apartments (or offices)
between tenants and every few years for remaining tenants. Rugs will
need to be replaced, locks changed, various repairs and upgrades made.
If you want to attract and keep tenants, your property should look
clean and decent.
-Learn the rules and the laws governing rental properties (such as the
Fair Housing Act) so that you know how to deal with various issues,
such as the screening of applicants. One landlord recommended preparing
a summary sheet for each new tenant, listing your responsibilities and
the tenant's. That can prove useful later on, if things end badly and
you end up in court. You'll need to know things like when and how to
evict, and when you can and can't lock someone out of the property.
You'll also want to make sure you understand your insurance policy and
what it does and doesn't cover.
-Personality trait :Assess your personality to see whether you have what it takes. You shouldn't let people walk all over you, because some will
try to do that. You also need to be fair and even-tempered, and to be
able to read people. Some folks will have real problems that interfere
with their ability to pay you, but you may be able to work things out.
Other times, it will be hard, but you'll need to evict them.
List of rental property resources:
msnbc
realestate.msn.com
SFrentstats15 common renters' rights
Although
renters' rights vary by region, many are pretty predictable. Here's a
sample of rights likely to be addressed in your state's landlord-tenant
law:
- The Fair Housing Act makes it illegal to deny
housing to a tenant on the grounds of race, color, sex, religion,
disability, family status, or national origin.- Residential
rental units should be habitable and in compliance with housing and
health codes—meaning they should be structurally safe, sanitary,
weatherproofed, and include adequate water, electricity, and heat.- Many states limit the amount landlords can charge for security deposits. (See this page on Nolo.com to find out if yours is one of them.)
Grad student Ethan Garner created CraigStatsSF, a site that slices, hubbuzz
dices, and visualizes CraigsList San Francisco housing rental listings
with Google Maps overlays.
Real estate may be all about location, location, location, as the old
saying goes, but most rental apartment listings offer very little
information on that critical point. A new apartment search website
called Hubbuzz hopes to fill that gap by giving rental-hunters a way to
get a better feel for neighbourhoods and communities.

The main concern I have is if I'm polluting my personal images with ads as if they are professional images making them commecial makes sense. One advantage I see is viewers if they need more info then they can do it from one click on the image.i have to see the pros and cons and will decide if I'll change if not all at least some of my gallery into britepics.
Here is one of my pics with adbrite images.

Small steps ..
Small control steps - start with basic recurring expenses like monthly unavoidable expenses and see if there is any room for savings.I'll then move into second category steps where Auto insurance, home insurance, utility bills (gas or electricity) and trash bills. If this control category stabilizes then I'll think of savings/investing or basically growing my savings portfolio
into six figures at least if not five figure dollar amounts.
I'll keep updating this excel sheet of small steps and will see if this works.

Cost cutting ...
It is best time as an individual to look into monthly cost cutting measures on recurring expenses - Some expenses are that we pay more and use less like cell phones, my case peak time minutes of 250, As a full time employee how often are these cell phone peak time minutes used in a day ? Very rarely. Consider this with two cell phones for a family - expense multiplies.
Monthly Phone Expenses = (154$)
Two Cell Phones Plan expenses - 75$ - family plan with Verizon.
These expenses are difficult to cut down on , I always keep checking Verizon if they have lowered their family plan prices. They never -:(
I've tow CDMA cell phones , My options are limited in selecting the carriers so I have to go with Sprint ? Can I still be able to use same phones and just change the monthly family plan to see if there are any savings ? So there is an opportunity window to save few bucks here .... any other ideas?
Land line - 9$ (Paid 199$ for two years for SUNROCKET - VOIP)
This worked out good initially had lots of static issues with the service but it settled down now and call quality is much better. Also I get 3$ free of international minutes. There is no way I can get out of this contract as it is prepaid in full.I keep hearing most people (read it as family people) are now not having any landlines and are just using their cell phones for everything.
International calls to India - 70$
Airtel came for rescue with 8cents/minute with promotional one month it was 4cents/month.International call rates to India keeps dropping and I wish with Reliance and Airtel fighting for the customer base I hope will further lower their call rates. This is wait and watch but are there any other cheaper options to make this cost lower? I should make it a discipline to use Internet skype 'computer to computer' talking whenever possible.
So 154$ in recurring expenses on communication. At least a 10% off of this cost could significantly increase my savings.I should work towards this savings and will post If I find a way to realize these savings.I'll do a follow up blog on TV/Internet expenses to find wayd of minimizing those expenses. If any of you who is reading this blog knows of any other ways post your thoughts please..

My stocks portfolio
Stocks – I started experimenting on few stocks last year mainly from the analysis of sivy70 list of CNN. This list gives you projected rate of return (ROI) for the top performing stocks and this sivy70 list can be sorted based on the current price of stock. I used to sort by price so as to make sure the stock is affordable and fits my investing budget. Some other stocks I picked up based on EPS (Earnings per share) and dividend payers by searching through finance.yahoo.com. I still regret that I didn’t buy Google when stock was trading at $130 initially. Now I stopped thinking about Google because of 500$ price tag. I better hope they split this stock soon. Last year I tried IPO offerings where I took the losses in BKC (Berger King), I sold them last year for break even and made some gains in MA (Master Card).
Here is my current stock portfolio with reds being losing money and greens are that posted decent gains and taking inspiration from 2million blogger, one day I’ll dare to compare mine with
I keep getting good feedback from my friend who is into stock charts. He goes by DMA’s and all averages of charting to predict stocks. I tried myself these charts and are quite interesting and of course too much of work so I left that hard work down the drain. For suggestions he helps me on some stocks with buy, hold ratings. Good strategy might be just not to put all stock in tech sector but also in energy, health and airlines.
I opened TDAmeritrade account to buy and sell stocks which I feel is a good trading tool with good analysis tools. There are so many online brokerage firms like share builder, scotttrade and other so research what tool is best for you for managing your portfolio requirements.
My portfolio will keep on changing based on ups and downs in the market and I intend to hold very few stocks of above on a long term basis.
Again stocks are unpredictable and always one will have risk of loosing all their investments like the DOT COM stocks where all the paper cash vanished with in few days in year 2000.

Demand-Supply
Market research, focus groups , user forums and prediction markets are all focused on getting customer requirements right for the product in making or selling and eventually make the product succeed, The model works but temporarily created demand is one and the best one that beats all the odds of scientific research that none of the above fields that may not predict to the farthest possible extent. An recent example of sharp rise in coconut prices in a day in south Indian state Andhra Pradesh. The people went crazy on coconut breaking spree in front of their houses. The reason - "The first amavasya (a Telugu tidhi) after Sankranti brings bad omen for our sons. The second reason is that the akhanda jyothi being offered to Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala went off indicating that bad time was ahead of us. To exorcise the bad omen, we should break a coconut,".These mass mania creates unusual demand for the product and similarly in the past Lord Ganesha drinking milk , One can imagine the supply problems of milk that single day where dairy businesses should have prospered or suffered because of this mania. These are all again faith related which people sometimes blindly follow and thus creates a real marketing problem. Its not that having faith is anything wrong and here is good blog about how easy it is for kids learn about Hindu deities. I wish I had time to collect more and see these kind of temp manias that changes Marketing Research equation.
Our daughter is now going to second day care for week #2 , week#1 day care did not work out for baby sitter, for us and most importantly to our baby who got cold after first week of being at day care and we felt she was feeling more in secured by her actions. What's wrong with first day care - 1) We did ask for feed back daily from baby sitter and was always positive. Baby sitter lied. 2) We should have sensed that baby is uncomfortable with baby sitter - our bad. 3) Age group of other babies are lot older at least by a year of our baby. Finally got a call on Saturday that this home run first day care lady felt that our baby is crying a lot and will not be able to see her as she is more comfortable with older babies.Short notice but was better than late.We learned our lesson and this time for second day care , the difference is that second day care lady gave us the confidence. Yesterday our daughter was so happy playing all by herself. The feedback from this day care lady seems appropriate like baby crying for ten minutes for two times. We are kind of comfortable now and have to see how next few weeks will go with this day care. Isn't this too much of a stress on a baby ? What we lack being an immigrant is lack of family support system which is well another long blog topic that I'm planning for some other day. BTW the current demand level for live-in desi nannies in Chicago suburbs is 1400$ to 2000$ per month. They are scarce and turnover rate is high.
Third week into my 3rd and 4Th courses at DePaul MBA.Stats is getting tougher with homework scores sliding.Third week home work for stats was about descriptive measures with correlation coefficients, covariances.Minitab (a statistic tool used in Six Sigma) that I learned previously helping me find these with less ease without doing it through manual calculations.Next week is about probability which is the one topic I did miserably from the school/graduate days.Other SHRM course is relative easier that papers out of work experiences to be written following the directions.HR seems to be the toughest profession with so many legal implications attached to the employee-employer relationships.HR is the person who can directly look into employees eyes and say 'you are fired'.That's tough thing that anyone can do.

CISCO stock sliding ..Intel gloomy earnings..so go save money
Before buying any item ever wondered what if I get that item for less or for free, There are tons of deal sites and here is the one absolute all in one deal site that I came across today in slickdeals which has articles with details of how and what to do to get best deal virtually on anything. Here is the dollar stretcher deal site that has almost all categories with deal articles.
There are articles that intersted me of how to get away from shopping addictions. Simple rule of all deals is buy only when you need not just because a super money saver deal is available.
Here is my buddy who got locked on 86 MPH on a 40 MPH speed zone and that too driving a bike.He got a reward of 12 points for speeding. He approached a lawyer who charged 250$ and made this guy plead guilty so as to reduce his points by 8 i.e. now his record will have 4 points.Does this work for evry one?Is it wise to spend money on lawyers to lower one's speeding points ? The site has few articles that discusses the rationale behind spending money on reducing using fine points.

Second day today CISCO stock lost another dollar today, reason three analysts downgraded CISCO stock ratings.Stock market did start today with the disappointing news of the cold breeze wiped $1bn worth of citrus fruit in California , Intel disappointed the results that analysts expected and finally Fed speakers made comments on inflation at various places - "ovish San Francisco Fed President Janet Yellen said a "gangbusters" labor market is the biggest threat to taming inflation. "I do take it as a serious risk," Yellen said on the subject of wage inflation, in a speech to the Arizona Council on Economic Education in Scottsdale, Ariz."
Master card (MA) increased by 3$ today and day over day MA gave perfect share holder returns starting at 46$ IPO last year.VISA is supposed to issue IPO this year and these credit card companies bank on sloppy financial ppl and they are including me I believe are more than 70% of the population.I'm in for VISA IPO.Have to check if it is out yet ?
I have completed my Statistics 2nd week home work and its good to get back to good old calculas applications. The other SHRM course paper is due next Monday and have to write about my employer and in what business discipline ( Product leadership, Operational excellence and Customer intimacy) my employer excels at and what work force strategy leads my employer excel at that business discipline.I'm stressed out now that Apple reported its record earnings and releasing IPhone this June.
Developing story : This week is the big challenge for us and to our six months baby as she is getting used to day care and strangers, Most of the part she is taking it bravely except that she needs mommy when she wakes up.Also always some one has to be in her point of sight. One of our biggest worry of stranger anxiety that she has seems to be gone now.She drives with the dady sitting in the back seat talking and playing all by herself. What an accomplishments considering her 6 months age. Plan as of now is to send her two half days and one full day as these days myself and my wife are out to work and school.Labels: Investing
