India lost to Australia in a close match by 18 runs. Had they won this match against Aussies their place in finals would have confirmed. This match with Sri Lanka will be knock out match if they loose to Sri Lanka. Tendulkar form has been of big concern for India. Openers in general are falling for meagre score. Sreesanth is loosing traction and giving away runs at will which is destroying the game and as well putting the pressure on other bowlers.

India keeps chances of getting into finals alive by winning this crucial match against Sri Lanka in a thriller. Dhoni and Yuvraj clinched this thriller in a style. Dhoni scored no boundaries in runs of 50 he made.

Yuvraj strugglling for his form made a winnning contribution in the crucial match. 200th match and he reagained his confidence with few boundaries. 76 off 70 balls put India on winning. Seems yoga is doing it for Yuvi and hope he carries same momentum in all his next games. The video where he spoke to Harsha Bogle, Ravi Shastri and Wasim Akram after the game.

Again a disastrous performance show from the Indian top order batsman. Uthappa should be sacked from the team and so far he has been worst contributer playying irresponsibly except for one ODI in England I have not seen any runs from his bat.

Matches start on Feb 3’ 2008. There are 12 matches and 3 finals (3rd final is optional).If the points are tied the team with highest NRR(net run rate) proceeds to the finals.
SriLanka will be at disadvantage as India is now comfortable with Australian pitches. Australia are strong favorites and It is interesting to see how Australian sportsmanship will be as India and Sri Lanka teams both had issues in the past playing against Australia in Australia. This is one reason I would watch this series to see for any controversies.
