Can India make it to super eights?

Send me email updates:

Yes but with humongous efforts, India still has a chance to make it to the Super Eights. Now that India won against Bermuda with a huge margin the Net Run Rates for India went up

Here are current NRRs:

If Bangladesh beat Sri Lanka on Wed March 21 (and assuming all teams beat Bermuda), the match between India and Sri Lanka will be a virtual elimination game, with the loser out of the tournament.

If Sri Lanka beat Bangladesh, and if India beat Srilanka, three teams will be tied on four points each, and net run rate (NRR) will decide which two make it to the next round.

Sri Lanka's huge win against Bermuda and India's huge win against Bermuda makes India and Srilanka are favourably placed at the moment, and if Bangladesh registers similarly convincing win against Bermuda as Srilanka and India they have high chances to prop up their NRR.

Bangladesh is in advantageous position now as the last match of the group features Bangladesh versus Bermuda, which ensures Bangladesh will know exactly what they'll need to do to make it to the Super Eights.
